Educational Seminar

The Seminar covers all facets of the coffee industry - from the tree to the cup - and aims to provide participants with an interesting and informative insight into the numerous aspects of the industry. From production and growing conditions to roasting and blending, the week long course will follow coffee along the journey that will eventually end in a cup, touching on subjects as varied as trading, shipping, insurance, warehousing, grading etc… After finding out where coffee comes from and how it gets here, the tasting session will allow participants to taste diverse origins and types of coffees available on the market today.

Unique within Europe, the Seminar is very popular but the number of participants is limited to 35 maximum to create the best possible working environment. The lecturers are all involved in the coffee industry or associated service industries and their wealth of knowledge and experience - some in highly specialised areas - has proved to be a sure recipe for success. The format of the course is revised regularly in order to keep abreast of new developments within the industry and to address new issues.

Available to members and non-members alike, the Seminar is reasonably priced and early registration is recommended.

It is anticipated that the British Coffee Association will carry on the tradition.
